What We’re All About

Morning Star Child Care was registered as a business by the state of Texas in December 2013. It is run and operated by me, Yetunde Ijimakinwa and my family in my home in Plano, TX. The child care provides services for Infants, Toddlers, Pre-Kindergarten and School-aged children. The child care was officially licensed by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission in 2017.

Morning Star Childcare believes that children, when given the opportunity will grow and flourish intellectually, spiritually, physically and socially. I stand on the belief that in order to nurture a child’s self-image, they should be given opportunities for success. Apart from a loving and nurturing environment, my childcare provides learning experiences to enhance a child's social, emotional, physical, cognitive and development growth.

Morning Star Child Care provides daycare services to children from 12 months to 5 years. We also provide after-school services for school aged children. By utilizing developmentally appropriate practices, I use knowledge about how children learn and grow to design appropriate learning experiences. I use a curriculum suitable for each age group and prioritize building meaningful relationships with the families. When we expose children to different environments and various learning experiences, we allow them to explore their self-awareness and gain a sense of the world around them. Once they leave our Child Care Center, they’re fully prepared for the next stage of their young lives.
